Downstream – Great looking golf course!
We got to Twin Falls in good time after an early start and on heading into Tourist Information we found that the Snake River flow over the Shoshone Falls was very high (close to full capacity), so after a bit of ogling at the golf course in the Snake River George we headed over to the falls.
They are truly magnificent, read later that they are 45 feet higher than Niagara Falls. We were lucky to have space (between the Chinese tour busses) to enjoy the spectacle. Then decided on a short jaunt along a slippery path where I managed to slide into the first muddy puddle that we came to. I think some of the other users of the ladies restroom were slightly shocked to see me down to my undies trying to wash out my shorts and shoes (others very sympathetic)
First test of the RV shower – it passed with flying colours, before heading out for some ribs (me) and surf and turf (Mike) for our first meal out of our road trip.
I slept fairly soundly aided by my eye shades (parking lot very brightly lit), Mike was a tad more worried about potential break-ins but we both came through the experience unscathed and I would do it again in a town that looks okay.
