View from our campground in stormy afternoon light
Gave into temptation and after a bowl of fruit had a couple of pancakes and bacon at the KOA pop up cafe. Showers were good, clean and we were happy with the campsite. Good to have a relaxing start, sort out our kit a bit more, but we were still on the road by 9.30.

At viewpoint over Grand Canyon
Highlight of drive was a viewing point overlooking the Grand Canyon, not sure how the photos will come out (they didn’t) but really impressive to see the Canyon as a huge rift in the plains below the mountain escarpment our route took us up and over through a stunning cleft cut into the summit.
The drive to Cannonville KOA was a constant treat of new and interesting scenery which made the time pass quickly and we arrived at the KOA late afternoon. A great place with lovely views and great amenities and staff.
No sooner had Mike hooked up the electric and mains water we found we had a water leak somewhere between the onboard tank and hook up water supply. Not a real issue in the short term as the RV has a large water tank which we could refill but still a problem we wanted to get fixed so it fell to Mike to contact the helpline.
After a couple of attempts and an hour waiting on hold he got through and arranged for a repair in Moab, our next destination once we finished in the Bryce area.
