Landscape Arch – second longest Arch in the world
We decided to base ourselves at the KOA campground in Moab for just under a week to explore Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. We hired a car so we had more flexibility, best decision out as without it we could not have done the 4WDs in Canyonlands. We were also a tad worried about being able to find parking for the RV in the Parks, especially Arches as there are limited spots for RVs and we were visiting over Memorial Day weekend.
Below are links to posts of the hikes and drives we did
The RV site was pretty busy, but we had a really good site, our neighbours were friendly and it was great to be able to get back to the RV, have powerful showers to wash off all the dust and wash our clothes. We found the air con in the RV a bit mixed, it did cool the big beastie down after a while but struggled with the really hot temperatures and we were glad by the end of the week to be moving north to cooler temperatures.
Out of the summer months we found there would be plenty of opportunity for wild camping and also Canyonlands had lots of hiking trails, more opportunities in fact than Arches which was the opposite of what I expected.
